Known as the "Centennial", the DD40AX is the largest diesel locomotive ever built, producing 6,600 horsepower from two 16-cylinder engines. Built exclusively for Union Pacific between 1969 and 1971, No. 6922 remains the only operational DD40AX preserved today.
